Key Sustainability Priorities

Ding Gu has long partnered with governments, communities, and non-governmental organizations to be an active contributor to society, working to enhance economic development and quality of life in the communities where we operate. We also carry out charitable initiatives, embedding responsibility and giving back deeply into our communities of operation, while promoting social cohesion and development—continuing to advance and fulfill "UN Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals."

We have long been a strong supporter of community welfare activities, with a particular focus on "Diverse Community Development" and "Empowering Vulnerable Groups."

Starting with our own operations, Ding Gu uses its self-managed shopping malls as platforms for promoting health, educational development, and social integration, bringing "shared social prosperity" into every moment of our daily lives. We aspire to leverage our influence and resources to bring more positive impact to society as a whole.

Key Achievements

1. During the pandemic, secured designation as a model vaccination site in Huangpu District, actively applying Taiwan's pandemic prevention experience and conducting health education outreach for customers and employees.
2. For four consecutive years, contributed to charitable causes at a remote school district in Maduo County, Qinghai Province, donating NT$260,400 and educational equipment to Maduo County Ethnic Primary School.
3. For three consecutive years, held "Wish Wall" activities for students in Dengala Village, Yunnan. In 2021, 100% of student wishes were fulfilled.

Annual Key Charitable Activities

In response to the call of the Huangpu District Taiwan Affairs Office, we participated for the fifth consecutive year in the "Huangpu District Taiwanese Businesses Qinghai Charity Trip," traveling to Maduo County, Qinghai Province, for poverty alleviation efforts. We donated NT$260,400 along with teaching and student supplies, including SLR cameras, laptops, photocopiers, and printers, to support students' education.

We have now been helping students in Maduo County, Qinghai for four years, engaging with children across different schools to understand their needs through interaction and communication. We hope that, at an altitude of 4,000 meters, we can bring them warmth and thoughtful care, and bring everyone's compassion together into a warm and positive force.

Ding Gu's Shanghai Sunshine Center Transforms into a Local Healthcare Hub

Previously, residents in the surrounding community had to queue at large hospitals to see a doctor, often losing an entire day in the process. Ding Gu's Shanghai Sunshine Center therefore partnered with a local health clinic to station doctors on-site, allowing patients to receive medication immediately after consultation—significantly easing the burden on working professionals who would otherwise need to take leave to see a doctor. From daily necessities to health management, Ding Gu's thoughtful approach has closely integrated the community's daily rhythms and needs with the Shanghai Sunshine Center, bringing convenience and efficiency to the lives of local residents.

As soon as the pandemic emerged around Chinese New Year in 2020, Ding Gu was already prepared and mobilized its entire team. In addition to stocking sufficient masks, disinfecting alcohol, and temperature-measurement equipment, Taiwan's pandemic prevention experience also proved valuable in the ongoing response, drawing on extensive public health knowledge to conduct health education for both employees and customers.

After vaccines became available in 2021, Ding Gu's Shanghai Sunshine Center secured designation as a model vaccination site in Huangpu District, and has since helped administer tens of thousands of vaccine doses.
